With origins in Ancient India, ghee is often referred to as "liquid gold".

THE FOUNDERS

After losing family members to preventable disease, Sonia Sandha, a model and scientist from UPenn, and her husband Sunny Tripathy, a writer and filmmaker, set out to reverse disease through food.

Starting with better for you oils, the base of all cooking, the two used their specialized ghee formula to reverse various health conditions and decided to bootstrap a business around their idea.

What began as a local Farmers' Market favorite went on to become a UCLA Business 100. And, without raising a single dollar from investors, MAMAS ® better-for-you products beat out 5000 other brands to get into Target's Accelerator, before becoming an Amazon #1 New Release.
